BPBD Evacuation Of Husband And Wife In Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, Which Is Slummed Into The Well

TANAH DATAR - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra evacuated a husband and wife who fell into a 25 meter deep well in Jorong Baringin, Nagari Baringin, Lima Kaum District.

"The Tanah Datar BPBD Pusdalops Team evacuated victims using vertical rescue equipment," said Head of Tanah Datar BPBD Emergency, Dody Susilo, in Batusangkar, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 29.

He explained that the victim was namedYodi S (46), an entrepreneur and Reni P (46) job, a housewife.

The victim fell into the well allegedly because he did not know that there was a well in the house, because the house he was in was still under construction. While the well does not have a safety.

"The chronology of the local residents of the victims entered the well because they did not know there was a well in the house, because the house was still not ready and the safety of the well had no security yet," he said.

He said the victim fell into a well which was estimated to reach 25 meters and was eventually successfully evacuated.

Then the victim was taken to the hospital for further treatment because the female victim was in a state of shortness of breath due to lack of oxygen.

"Alhamdulillah, the victim is safe and has been taken to the hospital for treatment," he said.

He appealed to the people of Tanah Datar to always be careful and recognize the location of the place of residence properly.
