TANGERANG A total of 210 campaign props (APK) belonging to political parties and candidates for legislative members participating in the 2024 General Election were removed by the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Tangerang Regency, Banten Province because they did not comply with the rules and violated zoning.

Head of the Tangerang Regency Civil Service Police Unit, Agus Suryana, said the control was carried out along the New Road of the Tangerang Regency Government Center, Thursday, September 28. Agus also explained that his party had brought order to 210 APKs and 43 Ad attributes installed in places that were not intended for them.

"We control the PP of political parties as well as advertising attributes for public order and beauty of Tangerang Regency. And this is in accordance with the task of Satpol PP which has been regulated in Regional Regulation Number 13 of 2022 Article 10 Letter (i) concerning Peace and Public Order, and Order of Performance Equipment in Tangerang Regency," he said.

The control efforts are due to a meeting that was held on September 22, 2023 at the Tangerang Regency Satpol PP Office to follow up on public complaints regarding the attributes of political parties (Parpol) that have disrupted public order.

According to him, it should be carried out in accordance with the stages set by the General Elections Commission. Because at this time it has not entered the campaign stage.

"So, before the determination of the campaign time by the KPU and Bawaslu, we Tangerang Regency Satpol PP are committed to continuing to control for the sake of beauty in Tangerang Regency," he said.

In controlling what he did, Satpol PP was accompanied by Bawaslu and elements of the TNI-Polri by finding a number of APKs that were allegedly installed intentionally in a number of public facilities.

"There are already several attributes of legislative and advertisements that we found installed in public facilities such as electric poles, telephone poles and especially reforestation trees. We found all of that in the public facilities maintained by the local government," he explained.

He hopes that the heads of political parties should be conveyed to all cadres (caleg DPRD Tangerang Regency, Provincial DPRD and DPR RI), candidates for DPD members and to business actors who promote, not to place or put banners or other attributes on places that are not intended.

"We also appeal to the entire community, not only legislative candidates, we ask all parties who attribute advertising and campaign attributes in public facilities not to do it again," he said.
