56 Farmers In Central Lampung Agree To Change Compensation Options From PT BSA

Lampung Regional Police said that 56 farmers in Anak Tuha District, Central Lampung Regency agreed with the option to calculate compensation provided by PT Bumi Sentosa Abadi (PT BSA). "A total of 56 farmers on the disputed land of PT BSA have reported to the Forkopimda Pokja post for calculating planting replacements," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Umi Fadillah, at the Lampung Police Headquarters, Antara, Wednesday, September 27. He revealed that the company had prepared cash funds of Rp. 2.5 billion for farmers who planted on the land owned by PT BSA and made a report to the Forkopimda Working Group. "Pojka Forkopimda opens the post for the calculation of compensation reports until early October 2023, this will be done to wait for farmers who have not reported yet," he said. He also revealed that after all the reports were accommodated, the pokja team would then verify the location of the land, the number of plants and their value. "After being verified, compensation funds will be given to the person concerned," he said. Director of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the Lampung Regional Police, Kombes Reynold Hutagalung, said the situation of securing land processing by PT BSA was conducive. "Security has been conducive to date," said Reynold. According to him, based on field data, farmers began to harvest their crops independently. "Dominants that are approaching harvest or have been running for several months, they ask for permission to harvest themselves," Reynold said. Meanwhile, from the data from the posko pokja, until now there have been local residents who have come and provided information on the location of the planting and the amount to be calculated as a substitute for the taliasih.

It is known, PT BSA began executing hundreds of hectares of plantation land claimed by a number of community groups in Anak Tuha District, Central Lampung Regency. The execution of the land was rejected by farmers who claimed the land was customary land.
