Ganjar Pranowo Promises To Pay Attention To The Welfare Of Religious Teachers

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo has stated his commitment to prioritizing welfare in the religious field, especially religious teachers. He will take inspiration while leading Central Java (Central Java) to serve as governor for two terms.

In Central Java, Ganjar pays special attention to religious teachers from various religions, including Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. According to Ganjar, the role of religious teachers is very important in forming the younger generation for the progress of Indonesia.

"All stories about welfare, especially in the world of religious education, including in Islamic boarding schools, get special attention. I gave an example when in Central Java, we helped religious teachers. Because most of them are Muslims, maybe more Islamic teachers, but religious teachers from other religions should not be left behind. Those are very real examples," said Ganjar at the Roudlotusmen Islamic Boarding School, Cimone, Tangerang, Banten, Monday, September 25.

Under Ganjar's leadership, the Central Java Provincial Government in 2023 has allocated a budget of IDR 277 billion to provide incentives to 230,830 religious teachers.

The number of religious teachers who received incentives in 2023 increased significantly compared to the previous year, reaching 211,455 people in 2022.

In addition, Ganjar has also coordinated with the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) to ensure that the data on religious teachers who are entitled to receive these incentives are valid and on target.
