Deputy Chief Of Police Reminds Personnel Not To Get Involved In Political Elections 2024

The Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, emphasized to all personnel not to get involved in practical politics ahead of the 2024 General Election and to maintain neutrality.

"Still our leadership under the command of the National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo. I remind you to maintain neutrality in the 2024 General Election," Agus said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.

This was said by the Deputy Chief of Police, when carrying out a working visit (kunker) to the North Sumatra Police Headquarters in order to provide direction to all personnel.

Agus also said that apart from that, all personnel must obey the leadership and not commit violations.

"At the National Police Headquarters, personnel must obey the National Police Chief, the Regional Police obeys the Kapolda and the personnel at the Resort Police must follow orders from the police chiefs," said the Deputy Chief of Police.

Meanwhile, North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Setya Imam Effendi, welcomed the Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, to the North Sumatra Police Headquarters in providing direction to all North Sumatra Police and Polres ranks.

Agung revealed that the security and security situation that occurred in the jurisdiction of the North Sumatra Police in the third quarter had decreased by 8.75 percent when compared to the second quarter.

"Where the trend of disturbances in the North Sumatra Regional Police's kamtibmas decreased by 1,386 cases. The total number of criminal cases that occurred in the third quarter was 14,089 cases with a total crime clearance of 7,784 cases. This shows that the North Sumatra Regional Police have completed cases of 50 percent," he said.

He said that in creating a conducive social security situation in North Sumatra, the North Sumatra Police had five of our priorities, including handling public areas that were safe and comfortable, controlling thuggery, reducing street crimes and creating public order.

"The North Sumatra Police have also made drugs as common enemies, increased community productivity, accelerated the handling of government priority programs, accelerated economic transformation and created peaceful elections in North Sumatra," he said.

The Regional Police Chief said the Medan Polrestabes had designed a new model of patrol cars connected to the internet network in providing security services to the community.

"This step is to answer the concerns of the residents of Medan City about the phenomenon of robbery so that the Police can maintain harkamtibmas in realizing Medan Maju," said Agung.
