Responding To Dozens Of Anies-Cak Imin Billboards Damaged In Cirebon, PKB: Threatening Unity And Integrity

JAKARTA - PKB Presidential Election Winning Director, Faisol Riza responded to the destruction of dozens of billboards for the presidential-vice presidential candidate Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or AMIN on the road in the Pantura area, Tegal Regency, Central Java.

"Astaghfirullah, I invite us all to say istighfar. Let's maintain ukhuwah basyariah, unity and oneness. Damaging one part of the nation is equal to endangering unity and integrity," said Faisol Riza in his statement, Friday 22 September, quoted from Antara.

According to Faisol, on several occasions Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin reminded him of three important elements of the state, namely ukhuwah Islamiyah, ukhuwah wathoniyah, and ukhuwah insaniyah or ukhuwah basyariyah.

"In the context of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, we have long been taught to always practice, secure, and preserve the three forms of brotherhood taught by the ulama," he said.

He said ukhuwah Islamiyah is a brotherhood between fellow Muslims, which may be different in firqoh, different in madhhab, and different in thoriqoh.

"But we are fellow Muslims. These differences should not be an obstacle for us to have an attitude of helping each other within the framework of tolerance and brotherhood. Don't cause damage just because we are different," he said.

Then ukhuwah wathoniyah, he said, may not be only with Muslims, but live side by side in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. "Those are our brothers who are called ukhuwah wathoniyah," he said.

"Don't make difference in religions as an obstacle to help each other within the framework of tolerance and brotherhood. It may be that he is not a Muslim, not a member of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, but he is a human being, so he is also a brother who is called ukhuwah insaniyah, a fellow human being, or ukhuwah basyariah. This has been reminded by Cak Imin repeatedly," he said.
