Jokowi Glad That The Work On The Presidential Office At IKN Reaches 38 Percent, Will be Completed in March 2024

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reviewed development progress and installed the first Garuda blade at the President's Office, Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN), North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan.

According to information received in Jakarta, Friday, the President arrived at the location at around 07.55 a.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA), the President then headed to the top floor area of ​​the building which will be used as the presidential office.

There, the President also symbolically installed the first Garuda module which will become the icon of the presidential office building.

In his statement after the inspection, the President said that the progress of the construction of the presidential office was quite good and had reached 38 percent. Apart from that, the President also said that the construction of a number of infrastructures in IKN was still in accordance with planning.

"Everything is still according to plan, I think buildings such as the presidential office, presidential palace, ministries are still on target, according to all plans," said Jokowi, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 22.

In line with this, the Director General of Human Settlements of the PUPR Ministry, Diana Kusumastuti, said that by September 2023, progress on the construction of the presidential office had reached 38 percent. Currently, the president's office has started the installation phase of the Garuda blade.

"The progress of the presidential office in the Indonesian capital this September has reached 38 percent, and at 38 percent we have started installing the blades," he said on a separate occasion.

Furthermore, Diana targets that the installation of Garuda blades with a total of 4,650 blades can be completed by March 2024.

"Hopefully we will finish it in March, because we have 465 modules, of which there are 10 modules, so we have 4,650 blades that will be installed starting today," he explained.

Once completed, the Garuda, which will become the icon of the building, will have a wingspan of 177 meters and a height of 77 meters.

"The length of the wing from end to end is 177 meters, from the curve it is around 239 meters, and the height is 77 meters," he explained.

Also accompanying the President were Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, Deputy Head of the IKN Authority Donny Rahajoe, and Governor of East Kalimantan Isran Noor.
