The Judge Reminded The Defendant In The Iron Sand Corruption Case, Po Suwandi, Not To Go Out Of The City Without A Permit

The panel of judges reminded the Director of PT Anugrah Mitra Nugraha (AMG) Po Suwandi as a defendant in the corruption of an iron sand mine with a loss of Rp36 billion harus hadir setiap sidang dan tidak boleh ke luar kota tanpa izin. If there is no information, I will arrest you. You must guard it," said Chief Justice Isrin Surya Kurniasih at the beginning of the trial at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court, West Nusa Tenggara, as reported by Antara, Thursday, September 21. Isrin conveyed the warning following the detention status of the defendant Po Suwandi who had become a city prisoner under the supervision of the panel of judges. The panel of judges consisting of Lalu Moh. Sandi Iramaya and Irawan have determined the transfer of Po Suwandi's detention status from prison to city detention, Friday, September 15, considering the defendant's health condition. The consideration refers to a certificate of illness from the Mataram City Regional General Hospital (RSUD) which was shown by the defendant's legal adviser before the panel of judges during the trial on Thursday (14/9). Before starting the trial which scheduled the examination of witnesses from the public prosecutor (JPU), Thursday, the panel of judges questioned the health condition of the defendant Po Suwandi. "Sometimes healthy, sometimes weak, sometimes relapse," replied the defendant Po Suwandi. During the trial suspended for rest, prayers, and lunch, Thursday, at 12.11 WITA, the defendant's legal adviser Po Suwandi refused to give a response regarding the judge's warning at the beginning of the trial. During the trial, the Public Prosecutor invited seven witnesses, five of whom were from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and two from the NTB ESDM Service. However, only four witnesses were present at the trial, of which three were from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and one from the NTB ESDM Service.

Before the trial was suspended, the judge invited two witnesses from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to testify first. Both are staff of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Ditjen Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources who served as verifiers of the 2021 and 2022 Terms of Activity and Budget Plans (RKAB), namely Aji Nugraha and Nensi Wijayati.
