Jokowi Issues Presidential Instruction Support For The U-17 World Cup, Involves 33 Ministers And Regional Heads

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo issued a Presidential Instruction (Inpres) addressed to the ranks to support the implementation of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2023 concerning Support for the Implementation of the Federation Internationale De Football Association Under 17 World Cup in 2023 was issued in Jakarta 19 September 2023.

The Presidential Instruction contains instructions to the ranks of ministers, the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, leaders of local institutions and governments to provide support in organizing the U-17 World Cup.

At least 33 parties received instructions in the Presidential Instruction, namely the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture; Minister of State Secretary; Minister of Home Affairs; Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Law and Human Rights; Minister of Finance.

In addition, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology; Minister of Health; Minister of Manpower; Minister of Trade; Minister of Public Works and Public Housing; Minister of Transportation; Minister of Communication and Information; Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency; Minister of State-Owned Enterprises.

Furthermore, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy / Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency; Minister of Youth and Sports; Cabinet Secretary; Head of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency; Head of the Government Procurement Policy Institute; Governor of DKI Jakarta, Governor of West Java; Governor of Central Java; Governor of East Java; Mayor of Bandung; Mayor of Surakarta; Mayor of Surabaya; Regent of Bandung; and Regent of Karanganyar.

Jokowi instructed these parties to take steps according to their respective duties, functions, and authorities in a coordinated and integrated manner to support the implementation of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Year 2O23.

Jokowi also gave special instructions to the parties in Presidential Instruction 4 of 2023, one of which was instructions to the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, to coordinate planning, preparation, and support for the implementation of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2023.

The President also instructed the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture to report the achievement of preparation for support for the implementation of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2023 on a regular basis, at least twice a month or at any time if necessary.
