JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin conveyed a message to the Indonesian diaspora and students who are currently in Shanghai, China to want to participate in the 2024 General Election.

"Don't not participate in the election. I hope you will participate, have you all registered? This is our participation in finding the country's best leader, but differences in choice don't make us hostile, enemies," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in a "National Dialogue" in Shanghai, China. reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 18.

The National Dialogue was attended by around 200 Indonesian diaspora who currently live in Shanghai and Indonesian students from various levels in the city. In addition to delivering his presentation, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin also answered a number of questions from Indonesian citizens.

"Continue to maintain harmony, solidarity, and harmony among Indonesians abroad. The 2024 election agenda should not break the national bond. Let's celebrate the election with joy and away from hostility and continue," continued the Vice President.

Another message is so that the Indonesian diaspora continues to choose and sort out the right information, and continue to prevent hoaxes and avoid violent conflicts of view.
