Police Arrest 2 Drug Dealers In Halut, 96 Packages Of Marijuana And 7 Sachets Allegedly Methamphetamine Arrested

The North Halmahera (Halut) District Police arrested two suspected perpetrators of drug trafficking of marijuana and methamphetamine, one of which was a recidivist of a similar case.

The Deputy Chief of the Halut Police, Kompol Andreas, said that the two perpetrators were arrested in Gamsungi Village, Tobelo District, Halut Regency, based on reports from residents.

"Two suspected perpetrators, namely AK alias Ul (28) and AG alias Gamba (35) who are residents of Gamsungi village," he said in Halut, North Maluku (Malut), Thursday, September 14, confiscated by Antara.

The arrest itself began when there were reports from residents regarding the ownership of these illicit goods by AK.

The police then monitored and arrested AK and conducted a search of his room located in the Dufa-Dufa Complex, Gamsungi Village. The results of the search, as many as 96 packages of marijuana ready for distribution were found by the police in the cupboard.

The officer then carried out the development and it was discovered that the items were obtained from AG alias Gamba, who is also a resident of Gamsungi Village. When he arrested the alleged perpetrator, he was still fast asleep.

"Then when they were searched. 7 crystal sachets were found suspected of being methamphetamine under the pillow of the perpetrator's room, which was also a recidivist," said Andreas.

For his actions, AK is suspected of Article 114 paragraph (1) and Article 111 Paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics

Meanwhile, AG was charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) and Article 112 and/or Article 111 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum imprisonment of at least four years in prison.
