Calls Ganjar Appearing On Azan TV Show Not A Problem, PDIP: No Record Of Identity Politics

SERANG - Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto views that the appearance of Ganjar Pranowo in the call to prayer on a television station does not need to be a problem.

Because, said Hasto, the future presidential candidate drawn from his party was not listed as a figure who played identity politics.

"Pak Ganjar displays spirituality as a country that runs Pancasila as well as possible. So there is no track record of any identity politics from Pak Ganjar," said Hasto at the Banten PDIP DPD Office, Sunday, September 10.

According to Hasto, the emergence of Ganjar in this worship call show his spiritual side as someone who carries out the values of Pancasila.

"That is something that transmits our spirituality as a nation. Good invitation and in my opinion it has absolutely nothing to do with identity politics," explained Hasto.

For information, the appearance of Ganjar's figure in the call to prayer on private television stations has become a topic of conversation. In the show, Ganjar wore white koko clothes, batik sarongs, and black caps.

Ganjar seemed to shake the ranks of other worshipers who arrived at the mosque for congregational prayers. It was also shown how Ganjar performed ablution, and performed prayers in one row behind the priest as a makmum.

This was responded to by the Chairman of the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja. Bagja said that his party was reviewing whether there was an element of electoral violation in the broadcast.
