President Jokowi Invites G20 Leaders To Real Action To Protect Earth

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo invites the leaders of the G20 countries to take concrete actions to protect the preservation of the earth.

This was conveyed by the President in the first session of India's G20 Summit with the theme One Earth which was held at Bharat Mandadam, IECC, Pragatai Maidan, New Delhi, India, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 9.

"We all have to walk the talk, because we only have one earth," said President Jokowi.

The President said that joint efforts to protect the earth should be carried out because the earth belongs to all parties and also future generations.

One earth, for every body. One earth, for us and for our future generation,' he explained.

The Head of State said that Indonesia had carried out a number of concrete actions to protect the earth, among others, through efforts to suppress deforestation to restore mangroves.

Indonesia in 2022, has reduced emissions by 91.5 million tons. The deforestation rate was reduced by 104 thousand hectares. Forests and land are rehabilitated by 77 thousand hectares and mangroves are restored by 34 thousand hectares, "explained the President.

In front of the leaders of the G20 countries, the President also invited all parties to be responsible and committed to preserving the earth.

"Let's fulfill our shared responsibilities and commitments to keep the planet earth sustainable," he said.
