2 Couriers Bring 1 Kg Of Methamphetamine Arrested In Boyolali, Claim To Be Ordered To "receive Drugs"

The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) arrested two narcotics couriers carrying 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine. Both were arrested in Sindon Village, Ngemplak District, or around Adi Soemarmo Airport in Boyolali Regency.

Both are Zainal Abidin alias ZA (40), a resident of the Tiara Indah Susun Meunasah Complex, Ilie Village, Ulee Kareng District, Bandar Aceh City, and Resna Novianto alias RN (30), a resident of Gulon, Jebres Village, Solo.

"Now it is being secured at the Surakarta BNN," said Head of the Central Java BNNP (Central Java), Heru Pranoto at a press conference, at the Surakarta BNN Office, Friday, September 8, which was confiscated by Antara.

From the arrest, both of them confiscated evidence of methamphetamine weighing 1,000 grams or 1 kilogram (kg), Honda Beat Motorcycle Nopol AD 3099 ZA, four cellphones, one digital balance, a number of ATMs belonging to suspect ZA, Boarding pass Batik Air ID Flight 7364 majoring Jakarta Soekarno Hatta Cengkareng-Adi Soemarmo, and one white suitcase.

According to Heru, suspect ZA departed from Soekarno Hatta Cengkareng International Airport with a package of narcotics in gold Chinese tea plastic and was put in a white suitcase.

Arriving at Adi Seomarmo Boyolali International Airport, Friday, August 25, suspect ZA contacted the suspect RN and made an appointment at a coffee shop to hand over the narcotics to RN.

Suspect ZA in confession to investigators was ordered by a person named, "Bang", to bring 1 kg of crystal methamphetamine from Jakarta to Solo with a salary of Rp. 30 million.

Meanwhile, the suspect RN admitted that he was ordered to receive 1 kg of crystal methamphetamine by a friend who was usually called "cheap".

"Obviously" and "Bang" have been included in the wanted list (DPO). The identity of the narcotics plan will be circulated in the Solo Raya area.

Currently, the suspects are being taken to the Central Java Provincial BNN Office for investigation under the suspicion of Article 114 paragraph (2), Article 112 paragraph (2) and Article 132 paragraph (1), Law Number. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum penalty of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of death.
