Police Arrest Wet 4 People Deliberately Burn Land In Jambi

JAMBI - Police arrested four people who were found deliberately burning land in Jambi.

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono said his party had arrested four people who were found by investigators at the location of the land being burned.

"We have secured these four people because they were proven to have deliberately burned land in Muaro Jambi, Tebo, and West Tanjung Jabung (Tanjabbar) regencies," said Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono in Jambi, Friday, September 8, confiscated by Antara.

Currently, the four people are being processed at the Polres of each of these areas and hopefully this will be a lesson for the community.

"Hopefully this can be a lesson for the community so as not to harm many people," said Rudsi.

In addition, Rusdi also continues to urge the public not to clear land by burning because it can cause fires.

"I urge the public to work together not to clear land by burning, and if it is proven then we will take applicable legal action," he said.

In addition to being secured by the four people, the police also secured evidence such as used gasoline, matches, and other tools used and prepared to burn.

Previously, members of the Tanjung Jabung Barat (Tanjabbar) Police managed to arrest a group of perpetrators of forest and land burning that cleared land for plantations by burning an area of two hectares in Sungai Baung Village, Pengabuan District, Tanjabbar.

After several times opening plantation land by burning the group, the 'Mr. Janggut' known as the perpetrator of the burning of the land was arrested by the police and the main perpetrator has now been named a suspect in the case of burning an area of two hectares.

The suspect, known as Pak Jangggut (81)'s name, has repeatedly burned land in Sei Baung Village, Pengbubuan District, West Tanjungjabung Regency, was finally arrested by the police and named a suspect.

Meanwhile, Jambi Governor Al Haris said 501 hectares of land was burned in the area.

The cause of this land fire was due to the wind blowing from the south to Jambi.
