Wait For Official Support To Cak Imin, PKB Hasn't Visited PKS

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) is still waiting for official support from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) for its General Chair, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin as a candidate for vice president (readwapres) accompanying Anies Baswedan.

This is the reason PKB has not made a visit to the PKS DPP office which is a member of the Change and Unity Coalition (KPP).

"Until now, we don't have the support from PKS yet. So if there is support from PKS, it means that we are in the PKB coalition with NasDem, we will stay in touch with PKS," said PKB DPP Chair Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal in Cikini, Jakarta, Thursday, September 7.

Cucun explained that PKS support was only addressed to Anies Baswedan. Meanwhile, regarding his assistant, PKS is still waiting for the results of the syuro assembly (MMS) deliberation.

"In the past, with NasDem, support was running for Mr. Anies, and we also heard that what was released was that his support was given to Mr. Anies, who Mr. Muhaimin would follow," he said.

Cucun assessed that PKB should wait for the internal PKS mechanism to be completed and then schedule a visit time.

"Don't let us go there, the mechanisms that are internally have not been completed. So we are waiting for how the mechanism that was conveyed earlier has been completed, then we will visit it," said Cucun.
