2 Wild Drones Flying In The Area Of The 43rd ASEAN Summit In Jakarta Dropped By The TNI

Yudo appealed to the public to use drones to complete the requirements and permits before flying the drone to document certain areas of altitude.

"In the current information era, the advancement of this technology, and it is possible that there will be a drone threat so that we also have anti-drone equipment from Koopsus which was also carried out mobile yesterday, and has succeeded in deploying unlicensed drones," said Admiral Yudo during a press conference in the courtyard of the TNI Commander's Office, Merdeka Barat, Jakarta, Thursday 7 September, confiscated by Antara.

Yudi said that so far his report had only two wild drones dropped from above the altitude. However, it is possible that this number could increase.

"I'll ask how much more. Yesterday I told the public during the Summit not to fly drones if they are not licensed, yesterday we anticipated it with anti-drones and thank God we managed to get it down," said Yudo.

The anti-drone system currently operated by the TNI consists of active radar, passive radar, camera, and jamming which are connected to one. The system can detect, and cut off signals that connect drones and their operators so that if a wild drone is found, there are three steps to take action.

First, the wild drone can be returned to its operator (go home) and when the drone is received, the operator can no longer operate the drone. Second, the drone is forced to drop from a height so that the operator can no longer control the device. Finally, the anti-drone system can disrupt the GPS drone information controlled by the operator.

The existence of wild drones, according to the Commander, is one of the threats anticipated by the joint TNI-Polri security team during the ASEAN Summit.

But beyond that, Yudo ensured that there was no external threat that could harm the delegates or interfere with the event.

"There are no threats from outside. The drones have been successfully resolved," said Yudo.
