JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, met with President Joko Widodo at the Jakarta Presidential Palace today. The two discussed the implementation of the ASEAN Summit and matters of nationality. Puan arrived at the Palace at around 11.00 WIB and was immediately greeted by President Jokowi. Both were seen wearing white clothes. Puan admitted that she talked about various things with President Jokowi during the meeting. "The conversation is exciting. We discussed various things, including the agenda of the ASEAN Summit which will take place tomorrow where Indonesia as the host," said Puan in a written statement received by Antara, Monday, September 4. The meeting between Jokowi and Puan lasted about 1.5 hours. In the photo uploaded on Instagram @puanmaharaniri, Jokowi and Puan seemed to be talking familiarly in one corner of the Palace. Together with Jokowi, Puan also talked about the latest developments that are currently happening. "Earlier we also talked about the current national situation. There are many things that the President and I discussed," said the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.

The meeting between Puan and Jokowi was held a day after Bung Karno's grandson met with the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is Jokowi's son, in Solo, Sunday (3/9). Gibran accompanied Puan on the agenda of a working visit to Solo Raya last weekend.
