The National Police Prepares Traffic Security And Engineering For The VVIP VVIP Delegation-Guest Route Of The ASEAN Summit

The National Police has prepared traffic security and engineering on the roads that will be passed by the delegations of the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT). Around 1,679 personnel were deployed in the security scheme. "For the security of the route as many as 1,128 personnel, 300 personnel for parking security and 251 personnel for escort consisting of 75 personnel for escorting delegates both in two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, then 176 personnel for BKO Paspampres," said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho in a statement, Monday, September 4. In the security scheme, the National Police gets a section of guard in ring 3. In his opinion, officers will coordinate with Paspampres regarding the movement of VVIP guests from the state delegation. "We will continue to coordinate and back up the Paspampres starting from delegates arriving at the airport to accommodation venues to be visited by delegates,” he said. On the other hand, Shandi also apologized to the public and asked to understand the impact that occurred when a delegation or guest of the country passed by. "We apologize and ask the public to understand if later when activities are affected by road closures or traffic engineering when a delegation group passes. We hope that the community will also support the implementation of the ASEAN Summit so that it runs smoothly,” said Shandi. For information, the National Police deployed 6,182 personnel to secure the 43rd ASEAN Summit. The details are the National Police Headquarters 1,624 personnel, Polda Metro Jaya 3,918 personnel, Polda West Java 320 personnel, and Polda Banten 320 personnel.

Meanwhile, the activity of the 43rd Asean Summit in 2023 will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, where the peak of the Summit event will be held from 5 to 7 September 2023.
