Ojol Beats YouTuber In South Jakarta Finally Arrested

JAKARTA The Head of Resmob South Jakarta Metro Police finally secured one suspect who was beaten by a YouTuber while filming the opposite motorcyclist' content in the South Jakarta area. The arrests were made on Jalan Raya Pondok Gede Dirgantara II, Halim Perdana Kusuma, East Jakarta, Saturday morning, at 02.50 WIB. The perpetrator with the initials YS (45), a male online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol)

"The robber from Halim Perdana Kusuma Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta," said Head of Mobile Investigation (Resmob) of the South Jakarta Police, AKP Ahmad Zakaria in a written statement, Sunday, September 3.

Meanwhile, the victim or reporter is a man with the initials AS (27) from Cipinang Besar Utara Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta.

"The beating place was in front of the Warung Solo Restaurant, Jalan Lapangan Ros Utara, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta on Tuesday (15 August) at 20.00 WIB," he said.

Ahmad then explained the chronology of the beating.

The beatings, said Ahmad, started with US victims with their two friends, MF and SF, creating educational content about violations of road users who went against the direction in front of Wong Solo Restaurant, Jalan Lapangan Ros Utara, Tebet, South Jakarta, Tuesday (15 August) at around 20.00 WIB.

"Then, when the victim did the ban, the reported (YS et al) did not accept it, resulting in an argument," said Ahmad.

Then, said Ahmad, there was a beating on the victims which resulted in US victims bruises on the right shoulder, the victim MF was hit in the face, a scratch on the right arm and the victim SF was bleeding in the mouth.

"With this incident, cases were reported (by US victims) to the South Jakarta Police for further investigation," said Ahmad.

For his actions, the perpetrator can be charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding beatings with a maximum imprisonment of five years and six months.
