KPK Holds Investigation In Bima City, Mayor M Lutfi's Office Searched

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the office room of the Mayor of Bima M Lutfi today, Tuesday, August 29. This search is related to allegations of corruption that is being investigated in the Bima City Government (Pemkot).

Information circulated that Lutfi was one of the parties involved in the new investigation.

"There is a KPK team in Bima City carrying out evidence collection activities," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, August 29.

Ali did not want to elaborate on the search. Including the matter of evidence obtained.

He only emphasized that the current process is a new investigation. Ali said the case was related to the procurement of goods and services as well as gratuities.

"That's right, (this, red) is a new case that the KPK is currently investigating," he concluded.

Before there was a search activity for the Bima Mayor's Office, it was revealed that the KPK issued a summons to the Head of the Bima City PUPR Service Muhammad Amin to be present to provide information at the KPK Office, Jakarta on Friday.

In the letter, Amin was asked to provide information as a witness in the investigation of a criminal act of corruption allegedly committed by suspect Muhammad Lutfi as Mayor of Bima regarding the procurement of goods and services within the Bima City Government and the receipt of gratuities.
