Fake Oli Factory In Deli Serdang Raided, 4 Workers Arrested

DELI SERDANG - Sub-Directorate of Indag, Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the North Sumatra Regional Police raided a factory that produces illegal motorcycle oil at the Cemara Cahaya Mas complex, Jalan Melintang, Tanjung Selamat Village, Percut Seituan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.

In the raid on the illegal motor oil factory, four employees were arrested and named suspects. Factory owners are still being chased.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, explained that the raid was based on information from the public regarding the existence of an illegal oil manufacturing factory at the location.

"Based on the results of investigations and information from the public, the place was allegedly used as a place to pack, produce oil and oil bottles and packaging radiator water without a permit," said Hadi, Monday, August 28.

Sub-Directorate of Indag, Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the North Sumatra Regional Police, then conducted an investigation and raid on the warehouse used as the factory.

The four employees arrested were Najaruddin (head of technicians), Adi Prayogo, Supriadi Wibowo, and Purwanto (technical).

They were arrested while carrying out oil production by illegal means, including packaging in bottled bottles with official brand labels.

The suspects are faced with various legal articles, including the criminal act of industry, trade, and consumer protection. The threat of punishment for them is more than five years in prison.

In addition to arresting the suspects, officers also confiscated a number of evidences, including hundreds of boxes of bottles containing oil, hundreds of empty bottles, and stickers of various brands of oil. All the production equipment used in the factory was also confiscated by officers.

Sub-Directorate of Indag, Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the North Sumatra Regional Police is still continuing to develop and investigate in this case. In addition, the police will also examine experts from companies that feel disadvantaged by the production of illegal oil.
