Puan To PDIP Cadres: Friends Become Opponents, Many Want To See We Break Up

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani said there were many challenges that would be faced in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). He even said that there were parties who wanted to see the party bearing the bull symbol divided.

"The challenge we will face to win the 2024 election is not light. There are big challenges," said Puan in the Consolidation of Spirit Towards Winning the Party and Ganjar 2024 at the Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang, Friday, August 25.

It didn't stop there, Puan said there was a phenomenon of friends being opponents. "Many parties want to see us break up, want to see us weak," he said.

However, Puan reminded that PDIP cadres should not be discouraged in front of the opponent. He called all the difficulties in the 2024 election a wave but cadres should not give up.

"It's not a bull name if it's ciut. It's not the PDI-P if you're afraid to fight," he said.

"It's not the PDI-P if you're afraid of fighting. Fighting for the truth. We are fighters for Indonesia," continued the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

"Ready?" asked Puan in front of her cadres.

"Ready!" replied the cadres lively.

Puan reminded that PDIP cadres were built with sacrifices. Therefore, all must be upright under the leadership of Megawati Soekarnoputri as Chairperson of the PDIP.

"Don't let the solidity of the party be disturbed by those who just want to divide or oppose the chairman and President Jokowi," he said.

"We should not be carried away by the flow of division. We must remain solid, we will soon enter the battlefield," concluded Puan.
