Polda Involves Labfor Team To Reveal Case Of Burning Public Facilities In Fakfak

MANOKWARI - West Papua Regional Police (Polda) involved the Forensic Laboratory Team (Labfor) to uncover the burning of a number of public facilities in Fakfak Regency.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Police, Kombes Adam Erwindi, said that the Labfor Team was temporarily investigating the crime scene (TKP) which was burned by an unknown group of people.

The facilities burned were the Krambongga District Office, SMP Negeri 4 Kramongga, District Office Fakfak Tengah, and the persecution to the death of the Head of Krambongga District.

"Now Mr. Wakapolda and the Director of Criminal Investigation at the West Papua Police together with the Labfor Team are currently investigating the burning crime scene," said Adam, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 25.

He explained that there were approximately 80 witnesses who had been examined in the incident, and currently the security and security situation in Fakfak Regency is as conducive as usual.

The examination of witnesses and the collection of a number of evidences intend to find out in detail the details of all incidents related to the burning that occurred in two districts some time ago.

"This arson incident did not occur in just one location, so it is still being investigated whether there is a connection with each other," explained Adam.

According to Adam, the West Papua Police Chief Inspector General of Police Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga has instructed the police to immediately uncover the burning incident clearly.

Therefore, the police need support from the district government and the local community to provide accurate information.

"The public is open and dares to provide information. We guarantee their identity, so that the perpetrators can be caught immediately," said Adam.

The police, he said, had pocketed several identities of the perpetrators of the arson but needed accurate evidence so that the arrest process went smoothly.

As previously reported, as many as 25 unknown people carried out destruction accompanied by the burning of the Kramongga District Office, 4 Kramongga State Junior High School, and abused the Head of Kramamongga District, Darson Hegemur, to death on Tuesday (15/8) night around 19.30 WIT.

Two days later, Friday (18/7) at 03.30 WIT, the District Office of Central Fakfak, Fakfak Regency was burned down.
