Police Search Offices In Malang Related To Grha Wismilak

The East Java Regional Police searched a decoration company office on Jalan Gajahmada, Klojen District, Malang City, East Java, regarding the case of GrhaWismilak Surabaya's assets. "Yes, (the search) is related to GrhaWismilak's assets," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Corruption of the East Java Regional Police AKBP Edy Herwiyanto quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 23. EDy explained that the search that was carried out from 10.37 WIB to around 14.36 WIB was carried out to search for and confiscate documents related to Grha Wismilak's assets. The search was related to the alleged case of forgery of authentic deeds and corruption in the issuance of Building Use Rights (HGB) of the Grha Wismilak Surabaya Building. Search was carried out by a number of East Java Regional Police personnel who came using more than two four-wheeled vehicles. "The search was carried out to search and confiscate documents related to the incident (Grha Wismilak)," he said. There were a number of other locations that were also searched at the same time by the East Java Regional Police. However, he did not specify where the search was carried out. "There are several other places (locations that were also searched) suspected to be places where documents were stored," he said.

Previously, the East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto stated that Grha Wismilak in Surabaya was an asset belonging to the East Java Regional Police so that the legality of the Building Use Right Certificate (SHGB) number 648 and 649 owned by Wismilak was allegedly falsified.The Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) of East Java stated that there was an administrative defect in Grha Wismilak. SHGB number 648 and 649 related to Grha Wismilak were proven to be administrative defects in the issuance of Decree (SK) in 1992. The administrative defect, what was requested at that time, was not in accordance with the issuance of a decree. On that basis, the East Java BPN Regional Office has submitted to cancel the land rights certificate to the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Nation Planning (ATR/BPN).
