Polda Metro: Truck Driver Victim Of Motorcycling Against The Flow In Lenteng Agung

Polda Metro Jaya said the truck driver involved in an accident with seven motorcyclists in the opposite direction could be categorized as a victim. He became a victim of carelessness or negligence in driving.

"Yes, that's why we'll see later, but it can be seen from the crime scene processing, the driver can be said to be the victim. Even though the vehicle is injured, the victim (from) the carelessness of the motorcyclist," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, August 23.

In fact, it is possible that the seven motorcyclists can be named suspects. The reason is that they have violated the rules by driving on roads that should not be.

"Yes, that could be the suspect of the victim because he was the one who caused it, because there was no path for him," he said.

Latif said that although the seven motorcyclists claimed to be victims because they were injured as a result of the accident, they remained guilty from the side of the rules. They were injured as a result of the mistakes made.

"I was the one who was injured, that's what happened to him himself. The victim was actually a truck driver, because it was difficult for him, his car was damaged," said Latif.

For information, an accident involving 7 motorcyclists with trucks occurred on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Tuesday morning, August 22.

Starting from a truck numbered B 9127 KYY driving from north to south on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung. Arriving at the scene of the incident, there were a number of motorcyclists who were in the opposite direction, resulting in the collision.

As a result of the accident, five people were injured. Three of them suffered serious injuries and two minor injuries.
