The suspect who is currently languishing in the Detention Center (Rutan) of the Seruyan Police Headquarters was charged with Article 187 to 1 of the Criminal Code or Article 27 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 7 paragraph (1) of the Regional Regulation of Central Kalimantan Province Number 1 of 2020 concerning Control of Forest and Land Fires.

"We are committed to taking firm action against land burners by intentionally not indiscriminately. Anyone who is caught will be dealt with firmly in accordance with applicable legal regulations," said Erlan Munaji.
