BINTAN - The plenary meeting for the election of the Deputy Regent Candidate (Cawabup) of Bintan Regency for the remaining 2021-2024 term at the DPRD office was suspended twice because one of the candidates did not attend with a sick statement. Initially, the chairman of the Bintan DPRD, Agus Wibowo, made the decision to postpone the plenary meeting for 15 minutes to discuss with the leadership of the Faction and the Electoral Committee (Panlih) of the Bintan Swabup. After that, the plenary meeting was held again and decided to be discorrelated after the midday prayer. "We will suspended the meeting again after the midday prayers," said Agus Wibowo while chairing a plenary meeting at the Bintan DPRD office, Antara, Monday, August 21. Agus Wibowo said that based on the sick certificate received by the DPRD, Bintan's Cawabup number two, Denok Puspita Sari was pregnant and had an incident of falling from the stairs. However, in the certificate, the person concerned did not experience any bruises and was not accompanied by the results of the medical X-ray. "For this reason, the doctor who gave a sick certificate to Cawabup Number two, will be asked for information first, so that today's plenary meeting is postponed again until it is finished," said Agus Wibowo. Agus Wibowo said that according to the plenary schedule, the remaining two Bintan Cawabups for the 2021-2024 term of office, namely Ahdi Muqsith (number one) and Denok Puspitas Sari (number two), will provide the main ideas for the vision and mission of the Regent of Bintan for the 2021-2024 period in front of the DPRD, the Regent of Bintan and invited guests who attended the event. After that, it was continued with the agenda of selecting the Bintan Cababup for the remaining 2021-2024 term by all members of the local DPRD.

He added that the plenary session for the selection of the Bintan Cawabup for the remaining 2021-2024 term had fulfilled the quorum because it was attended by all DPRD members.
