Reducing Jabodetabek Air Pollution, Bogor City ASN Asked To Ride Biskita

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) plans to carry out a number of action plans to reduce air pollution in its area. One of them asked around 6,000 state civil servants (ASN) to use Biskita while working.

This was conveyed by Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A Rachim. He said that the current problem of air pollution is a shared responsibility at least by reducing the use of private vehicles.

Dedie invites people living in Bogor City to take advantage of public transportation, use sidewalks, and pedestrians to walk.

"For example, going to a shop, to a neighbor, just walking, close distance, you don't have to use a vehicle because emissions from carbon dioxide are already at an alarming level," said Dedie.

He considered that there needed to be a joint movement to reduce pollution. Dedie said that he was considering the Bogor City ASN which was around 6,649 for WFH.

Another option, they can use BisKita to go to Plaza Balai Bogor City and their respective offices.

"This is being considered for the use of BisKita and also WFH. We are thinking about it but we have not decided yet," he said.

Since the last few weeks, the sky in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek), including Serang, Banten, has been in the public spotlight. Air quality continues to decline.

West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil himself will also agree on a number of multidimensional action plans to solve the problem of air pollution in Jabodetabek.

This is based on the results of a meeting with a number of ministers, institutions, and regional heads regarding the completion of air pollution in the Jabodetabek area.

The action plan in question is one of the things that reduces mobility. The WFH scheme will be promoted again in the Jabodetabek area.

Bogor City's air quality last Sunday was still in the medium category. Bogor City's air quality index as of 13.02 WIB reached 97 aka the medium category.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, there was a drastic spike from index 69 (moderate category) to 140 (unhealthy category for sensitive groups).
