Central Kalimantan Police Arrest Perpetrators Spread Photos Without 10-Year-Old Boy Clothing

PALANGKA RAYA - A man with a wife extorted and threatened to spread a photo of the exciting 10-year-old boy in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan). The man with the initials TS (30) from Palembang, South Sumatra (Sumsel) has even distributed photos of the victim naked in the Whatsapp group because the victim did not give the money he asked for.

The Director of the Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol Setyo Koes Heriyanto, explained that this case began when the suspect and the victim became acquainted on social media. The relationship between the two continues into a romantic relationship. The perpetrator then asked the victim to send a nude photo.

"Initially the perpetrator asked the victim to send a photo without clothes on the grounds of being a private collection, it turned out that the photo was used by the perpetrator to blackmail the victim," said Setyo, Friday, August 18.

This case was uncovered after the victim's parents reported this incident to the police. Following up on the report, the Central Kalimantan Police Ditkrimsus cyber team arrested TS who was known to have children and a wife in Palembang, South Sumatra (Sumsel).

From the results of the examination, extortion and threats against his underage online lover were carried out by the suspect to meet the needs of daily life.

"Currently we are investigating further, because from the evidence we confiscated it is suspected that there were other victims in the same case, because the suspect and the victim initially knew each other through the Whatsapp group," said Kombes Pol Setyo Koes Heriyanto.

When arresting the perpetrators, investigators from the Central Kalimantan Police Ditreskrimsus confiscated a number of evidences in the form of two cellphones, two SIM cards and the Whatsapp account used by the perpetrators to carry out their actions.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions with a maximum imprisonment of 6 years.
