JAKARTA - Former Minister of BUMN Laksamana Sukardi again conveyed 5 national comorbidities that are difficult to eliminate, so that our country is left behind by other countries. The 5 comorbidities are misguided, misbehavior, miss-view, misinterpretation and mismanagement.

Laksamana conveyed this in the 2023 OSKM ITB Talkshow at the Multi-Purpose Building, Jatinangor ITB Campus, Sumedang, West Java, Thursday 17 August.

Five Comorbidities

Currently, Indonesia's productivity level is very low, only 0.5 on a scale of 0 to 1. Meanwhile, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore, 0.8 and above. Are the Indonesian people stupid? No, there are many smart people in Indonesia. But there are 5 national comorbidities that are difficult to eliminate, which I often write about 5 mistakes or Pancalah.

The first is misguided. Because leaders are feudal, authoritarian, KKN, society is divided and there is an ideological war. "I don't disagree with the ideology. But if the ideology is not accepted by one or more parties, war will occur. Like failed states, Yemen, Syria and others."

The second is wrong parenting. People in office exploit their positions to make money. It's the same in political parties. This wrong upbringing makes intelligent people lack incentives and think critically. For example, in ASN, whoever can suck up gets promoted first. Raised like that. "So this wrong care makes our nation's productivity very low," said Laks as he is usually called.

The third is the wrong view of the non-transparent handling of the law, the image of potential leaders in such a way by buzzers and the internet. This makes people look wrong and choose their leaders wrongly. "In the end, this country is not getting better, but instead it is falling into the abyss," he said.
