DPRD Explains The Benefits Of DKI BUMD Synergy To Grow The Jakarta Economy

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ismail, said that the synergy of each regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) is important in growing the Jakarta economy. In the capital city, there are 23 companies owned by the DKI Provincial Government, ranging from limited companies, regional companies, to open companies engaged in various fields ranging from food, transportation, infrastructure, property, banking, tourism and so on. According to him, the corporate group must collaborate so that services to the community are maximized. "By optimizing the synergy between various BUMDs operating in various economic sectors, the Jakarta regional government can achieve various broader economic and social development goals," said Ismail in a discussion at the City Hall of DKI Jakarta, Monday, August 14. Ismail reviewed that there are eight positive impacts from BUMD's synergy to boost Jakarta's economy. These include increasing regional income, developing infrastructure, creating jobs, increasing regional competitiveness, developing local industries, investing in innovation and technology, diversifying the economy, and improving people's welfare. "For this synergy, his notes must be supported by good management, transparent, accountable and focused on sustainable development goals, not partial,” he added. Ismail gave an example of one of the synergies in the food sector, namely PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, Perumda Dharma Jaya, and Perumda Pasar Jaya in maintaining food security which was coordinated by the DKI Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agriculture Security Service. Connecting this, President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Pamrihadi Wiraryo said, the food security program can be carried out in collaboration between BUMD and the DKI Provincial Government as the coordinator. One of them is the food subsidy program for eligible citizens.

"In order to ensure the fulfillment of the food needs of DKI residents, approximately 1,150,000.000 DKI residents are subsidized with 40 percent. So, the food prices can be controlled," he added.
