Head Of RW 06 In Pluit Becomes Suspect Of Undetained Sexual Harassment, This Is The Reason For The Jakut Police

North Jakarta Metro Police (Jakut) revealed the reason why the Head of RW 06 at Pluit with the initials ST (72) has been named a suspect in a case of alleged sexual harassment but has not yet been arrested.

Head of PPA North Jakarta Metro Police AKP Marotul Aeni said the suspect ST was suspected of a minor crime case so he was not detained.

Aeni said that the suspect had so far been summoned for questioning. However, the person concerned through his lawyer stated that he was unable to attend due to illness.

"That's why we summoned the suspect. We have already made a summons, but the suspect is 72 years old. So yesterday the lawyer came here to ask for a time delay, because the suspect was sick," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the police had named ST, who is the Head of RW 06 in Pluit, North Jakarta, as a suspect in the alleged sexual harassment of members of the Village Consultative Institution (LMK) with the initials RI.

LMK is known to be a mouthpiece between the kelurahan and local RWs.

"The suspect has been named," said Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan in a short message, Thursday, August 10.

The attorney for the victim of the Republic of Indonesia, Steven Gono, explained that his client's sexual harassment incident was first experienced in June 2022. At that time the victim asked the perpetrator regarding the road repair program by telephone.

In a conversation on the phone, Gono admitted that ST had verbally abused him. However, at that time the victim did not disturb the suspect's words

"Asked, 'where is it again?'. My client said, 'again at home, again going to take a shower'. Then, he was asked by the head of the RW, 'person isn't at home?', 'no one, no one'. The head of the RW immediately said, 'oh, yes, I took a bath, yes', he said it was like that," Steven said when confirmed, Thursday, August 10.

"Well, that's the first time. My client immediately felt like, 'wis, old man'. My client immediately turned it back to another conversation. Then, finally my client asked, 'why sir?, 'he continued.

Although the victim did not respond to it and tried to divert the conversation, ST continued to abuse verbal abuse.

"Mr. RW is still harassing him, he still says you are hotter. You can make me more lustful. Then he said he wanted to go to the hospital to check his genitals, he was afraid that later he would not be able to satisfy my client, then my client was angry and the language he liked to be ridiculed, like that," he explained.

On that basis, Gono said his client made a report to the North Jakarta Metro Police. The report has been registered with the number LP/B/1057/XI/2022/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKUT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated November 30, 2022.

Gono said the police had mediated between the two parties. However, at that time ST as the head of the RW continued to deny his actions and was reluctant to apologize.

Until July 2023, ST was finally named a suspect in alleged sexual harassment.

"So when he was at the Resort Police, he was mediated. When he was mediated he didn't admit he was wrong, that person just joked not to be serious," he said.

Gono added that his party plans to make a complaint to the DKI City Hall regarding the alleged case involving ST. He encouraged the head of the RW in Pluit to be fired.

"Later on the closest plan on Friday [11 August,] we are going to City Hall to make a complaint. We have reported to the village many times, the urban village has no response. We will report it to the sub-district, the sub-district has also reprimanded the sub-district but there has been no action yet. We will take action to report it to the city hall," he concluded.
