JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar admitted to accepting the joining of the Golkar Party and the National Mandate Party (PAN) in the Gerindra Party coalition and PKB promoted Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate (candidate). The agreement of the man who is familiarly called Cak Imin is accompanied by a joke that Prabowo's vice presidential candidate (cawapres) who will be elected is himself. During the year of forming a coalition with Gerindra, PKB has indeed offered Cak Imin as Prabowo's vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. "I was only asked by Gerindra's friends, whether they agreed or not (Golkar and PAN joined). Meanwhile, Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto said that the four parties would still discuss who could agree to accompany him. "Talking about the vice presidential candidate, we have agreed that we will continue to discuss, musyawarah, look for the best candidates that these four parties can accept," said Prabowo.

The chairman of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, also said that the four parties will continue to establish communication to finalize the coalition until the determination of Prabowo's vice presidential candidate. "I feel proud that 4 parties are united and in our attitude that the leaders of these 4 parties are easy to communicate. Also have the same vision and mission. Of course, future trips are still there and there are many things we need to talk about," said Airlangga.
