JAKARTA - General Chair Prabowo Subianto opened his voice regarding the determination of the candidate for vice president (cawapres) who will later accompany him as a presidential candidate (candidate) in the 2024 elections. Now, the Golkar Party and PAN have been close to the Gerindra Party coalition and have stated their support for Prabowo to become a presidential candidate. However, Prabowo said, the four parties will still discuss who the vice presidential figures can be agreed. Meanwhile, Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto also said that these four parties will continue to establish communication to finalize coalitions to the determination of Prabowo's vice presidential candidate. The party supports Prabowo because the Minister of Defense had once been a Golkar cadre, before finally establishing Gerindra Party. Continuing, the Chairperson of PAN Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) admitted that he finally supported Prabowo as a presidential candidate. "Through careful consideration, the Central Leadership Council of the National Mandate Party has decided to provide support for the 2024-2029 presidential candidate to Lieutenant General Prabowo Subianto," said Zulhas. "Why did PAN make that decision? We have 10 years together with Pak Prabowo. If you live a little, why can't you wait? We are sure that the 10-year struggle will be over," he added.
