Meeting Jokowi At The Palace, Puan Claims To Discuss The 2024 Presidential Election

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani admitted that she had spoken with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Monday, August 7. The two of them had time to talk about politics, apart from discussing the 44th Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) General Assembly (AIPA). "Yesterday I just met Pak Jokowi," said Puan to reporters at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 9. The meeting went well. "Not only talking about AIPA but also political issues in the future in the development of the nation and state," he said. Then when asked whether there was a discussion about the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres), the chairman of the DPR RI did not deny it. However, Puan did not specify the contents of the conversation between the two of them with Jokowi. "There is also (a specific discussion about the presidential election, ed)," he said briefly. Previously, President Jokowi was highlighted because he seemed to be attached to Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. In response to this, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto is a common thing. According to him, a president must be close to his minister. Jokowi and Prabowo are no exception. "Yes, the president must stick with his ministers.
