The DKI Provincial Government Will Ask For DPRD Approval Regarding The Proposal For Transjakarta Tariffs To Soetta Airport Of IDR 5 Thousand

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that his party was still reviewing the proposal regarding the Transjakarta tariff for the Kalideres Terminal to Soekarno-Hatta Airport for Rp. 5,000.

The Rp. 5,000 tariff on the Kalideres-Soetta Airport route is a proposal from the Jakarta City Transportation Council (DTKJ) from the results of their studies and surveys.

"Of course we have reviewed and have made a report to the Acting Governor. Then, we are waiting for further instructions to be proposed if we will use the 5,000 rupiah tariff," said Syafrin at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, July 8.

However, continued Syafrin, the DKI Provincial Government will seek approval from the DKI Jakarta DPRD first, before deciding the tariff for the Transjakarta route to enter Soetta.

Given, the tariff rate proposed by DTKJ is still lower than the economic value of Transjakarta, so it is still included in the subsidy allocated from the APB.

"Of course, based on regulations for tariff determination with subsidies, it must be approved by the council. This is what we are reporting," said Syafrin.

With the proposed Rp. 5,000 tariff, then the economic value of each customer service is Rp. 12 thousand, the DKI Provincial Government must provide a public service obligation (PSO) of Rp. 7 thousand per service.

"With the amount of Rp. 5,000, of course there will be subsidies because the economic rate is around Rp. 12 thousand per share. The difference (Rp. 7 thousand) is subsidized by the government," said Syafrin.

The Transjakarta service trial entering Soetta Airport has been carried out since July 5, 2023. After 2 weeks of trials, the Transjakarta bus route to Soetta was extended as of July 26. This is in line with the extension of the trial period for the Transjakarta bus service entering Soetta.

In the extension of the trial, Transjakarta added operational hours which originally operated at 06.00 a.m. local time and 18.00 p.m. local time to 05.30 p.m. and 16.30 p.m. local time.

It was recorded that the number of bus service users with the Kalideres Terminal route to Soekarno-Hatta Airport was 14,222 people for about 3 weeks of testing.
