Jasa Marga And Jasa Raharja Educate The Public About Traffic Safety

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk in collaboration with PT Jasa Raharja provides traffic safety education as an implementation of the Company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, at the Ganesha Cultural Sasana, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Saturday 5 August.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir said this program was a strategic step as an effort to socialize traffic safety, as well as show a real synergy between SOEs in educating young people.

"During 2022, there were approximately 137,000 accidents that were dominated by young people. This is of course our concern so that the younger generation of Indonesia is wiser in driving, this is important in order to minimize accidents on the highway," Erick said in a written statement, in Jakarta, quoted from Antara.

This Safety Riding program is an effort to maintain a joint commitment between Jasa Marga and Jasa Raharja to support the achievement of the National Public Plan for Road Traffic and Transportation Safety (RUNK LLAJ) in 2021-2040, especially in order to reduce the accident index and fatality of victims.

Furthermore, Erick said, this series of events is also a means to strengthen collaboration between SOEs, so that it can provide greater benefits for the people of Indonesia.

"This activity is a form of synergy between state-owned companies in implementing the AKHLAK value, namely the value of collaboration," said Erick.

Jasa Marga President Director Subakti Syukur said that apart from Bandung, Jasa Marga and Jasa Raharja also target to organize Safety Riding programs in other areas in the future, such as in the cities of Bandarlampung, Medan, and Surabaya.

According to him, safe and safe driving science and procedures are very necessary for young Indonesians, so that his party targets this event to be held in a sustainable manner.

"The benefits and knowledge obtained by the participants are not only beneficial for themselves, but can also be disseminated to the surrounding environment to realize a safe and safe journey for yourself and others," said Subakti.

In the implementation of this TJSL program, Jasa Marga and Jasa Raharja are also supported by other SOEs, such as PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk, Perum DAMRI, PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero), PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Len Industri (Persero), and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero).

This collaboration between SOEs is realized by building exhibition booths to promote superior products for each company.

Jasa Raharja President Director Rivan A Purwantono conveyed the same thing regarding the importance of traffic safety education for Gen Z which is provided continuously.

"Of course this is our shared responsibility," said Rivan.

Rivan said that the majority of traffic accident victims are currently dominated by ages between 6-25 years. Therefore, Rivan invites all parties to jointly prioritize traffic safety by complying with existing regulations.

"By collaborating with other SOEs, of course, education will be more effective and broad. Jasa Raharja will always socialize to the public about driving safety to achieve a safe and orderly society," said Rivan.
