Police Disbursed Chronology Of Members Of The PAN DPRD And Golkar Sinjai Arrested During Methamphetamine Transactions

The Special Team of the Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the South Sulawesi Police arrested two people known to be members of the Sinjai Regency DPRD when they wanted to consume methamphetamine at the Maleo Hotel, Makassar, South Sulawesi.

The two people's representatives are MW, a member of the Golkar Party, and KR, a member of the Sinjai Regency National Mandate Party (PAN). The arrest took place on Tuesday at Pelita Raya Street, Makassar City.

Chronology of the disclosure of this case began when officers arrested a dealer with the initials A. From the follow-up investigation process, it was revealed that A brought methamphetamine to be handed over to KR.

Furthermore, the officers moved quickly and managed to arrest KR. During the examination, KR admitted that he planned to use the methamphetamine with his fellow DPRD member, MW.

"That's right, a member of the council was involved in methamphetamine," said Director of Drugs at the South Sulawesi Police, Kombes Darmawan Affandi, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 2.

The two members of the Sinjai DPRD had the initials KM, known from the National Mandate Party (PAN) and MW from the Golkar Party. Both were arrested on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Maleo Hotel, Jalan Pelita Raya Makassar.

The arrest of the two after the team arrested first suspected courier with the initials A to buy methamphetamine for use. After being arrested, then developed and found that the two members of the council were suspected of having participated in consuming methamphetamine.

"There is a name A buying crystal methamphetamine for the members of the council to use. As soon as the Timsus arrived, he was arrested. Once arrested, met the methamphetamine used. Then it was discovered that KM was a member of the council," he explained.

"After that, they were secretly used with MW. And we revealed one of them. The same promise was made for Nyabu, and MW was arrested in front of the Maleo Hotel," he added.

Currently, the suspects are in the process of further investigation and investigation to explore where the illicit goods were obtained for joint use.

"Now there is an investigation process for the person concerned. The evidence is only 0.39 grams, not up to one gram. It is possible to consume personally for the two people. They are both members of the council. Initially, the first perpetrator A was asked by the council member to buy," Darmawan explained.
