KPK Cecar Acting Director Of Social Security At The Ministry Of Social Affairs In The Alleged Corruption Case Of PKH Rice Social Assistance

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned the Acting Director of Social Security of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs Faisal regarding data on recipients of social assistance (bansos) for the Family Hope Program (PKH). He was examined by investigators as witnesses on Tuesday, August 1."The witness was present and his knowledge was investigated, among others, related to the reporting of companions from the Family Hope Program (PKH) from 2020 to 2021 at the Ministry of Social Affairs in order to match the real data from social assistance recipients," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, August 3. To get the same information, investigators also examined two other witnesses. They are civil servants of the Ministry of Social Security Directorate, Keukeu Komarawati and Irwan Prabowo. Ali did not specify what information the investigators were looking for. However, the statements of the three witnesses before investigators are expected to make light of the case. Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the distribution of rice social assistance at the Ministry of Social Affairs. The criminal event allegedly occurred around 2020-2021. Although it has not been announced who the suspects are, but the former President Director of PT Transjakarta M. Kuncoro Wibowo is reportedly also entangled. He has been prevented abroad by the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights for six months to August. In addition to Kuncoro, the KPK also asked five other people to be prevented from leaving the country. They are also reportedly named as suspects.

Those prevented were Budi Susanto, April Chuniawan, Ivo Wongkaren, Roni Ramdani, and Richard Cahyanto. Kuncoro, Budi, and April are parties of PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (BGR) while the rest come from PT Primalayan Teknologi Persada. Meanwhile, PT BGR is one of the distributions of the Ministry of Social Affairs' rice assistance program. The state-owned company has the task of distributing 222,070,230 kilograms of rice social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs to 4,934,894 beneficiary families of the PKH program in the country.
