Deputy Press Bureau Of Bey Machmudin To Unpad Professor Proposed By DPRD To Become Candidate For Acting Governor Of West Java

The West Java DPRD proposed the name of the Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat BeyMachmudin along with the Directorate General of Legislation at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Asep Mulyana and Professor of Padjadjaran University, Bandung Keri Lestari as candidates for governor.

The three names are proposed to replace West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil whose term of office will end on September 5, 2023.

"The proposal from the results of several factions, with various considerations, three names were chosen, namely Asep Mulyana, Keri Lestari, and Bey Sapi (Machmudin)," said Deputy Chairman of the West Java DPRD Achmad Ru'yat in Bandung City as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 3.

The West Java DPRD held a meeting to determine the name of the candidate for governor of West Java. According to Achmad, each faction has submitted a name according to the mandate.

Now we are just waiting for the proposal of three other names from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) before it is determined by President Joko Widodo who will be the acting governor of West Java.

Achmad Ru'yatpun confirmed that he would immediately send a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs to be followed up.

He hopes that whoever is appointed as governor can carry out his role and function optimally.

"We hope that until later the West Java Pilkada, the acting governor of West Java can carry out his duties properly and optimally as possible," he said.
