KPK And TNI Puspom Asked To Sit Together To Resolve The Henri Kabasarnas Bribery Case

JAKARTA - Researcher from the Center for Anti-Corruption Studies at Gadjah Mada University (Pukat UGM) Zaenur Rohman asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and POM TNI to sit down together to resolve the bribery case at the National SAR Agency (Basarnas). The connectivity team was asked to be formed immediately.

"Form the connectivity team and then process it immediately," Zaenur told reporters, Tuesday, August 1.

Zaenur hopes that this team can immediately drag Basarnas Chief Marshal Henri Alfiandi and Kabasarnas Administrative Coordinator (Koorsmin) Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto to court. Thus, they will immediately be held accountable for the alleged bribery that ensnared them.

"Don't let this case only focus on the polemic," said Zaenur. "This corruption case is how it will be resolved. That's the most important thing now," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Alexander Marwata said the formation of this team was carried out but the TNI asked for a cooperation agreement. Thus, polemics such as in investigating corruption cases that ensnare active soldiers do not happen again.

"They want the MoU or cooperation agreement in the future to have a synergy between the TNI Puspom and the KPK," he said at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday night, July 31.

Even so, coordination continues to be carried out with the TNI. In fact, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri who did it directly with several parties, one of whom was Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo.

"Because the person concerned AH is an officer from the Indonesian Air Force," said Alexander.

Previously, the anti-corruption commission named Henri, who served as Kabasarnas along with his subordinates, Kabasarnas Administration Coordinator Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto as a suspect in receiving bribes. He is suspected of reaping a fee referred to as command funds of up to Rp88.3 billion.

The money was pocketed by a private party who wanted to work on projects at his institution from 2021-2023. The receipt was made through Afri.

Apart from Henri and Afri, the anti-corruption commission also determined three private parties who gave money during the silent operation. They are the President Commissioner of PT Multi Grafika Cipta Sejati Mulsunadi Gunawan, President Director of PT Intertekno Grafika Sejati Marilya, Managing Director of PT Kuntung Abadi Utama Roni Aidil.
