Jokowi-Xi Jinping Meeting Results In 8 Agreements

President Joko Widodo held a bilateral meeting with the President of the People's Republic of China (RRT) Xi Jinping which was held at the Jinnou Hotel, Chengdu, China, Thursday (27/7/2023). BETWEEN/HO-Biro Press of the Presidential Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia.

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo's bilateral meeting and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, as well as each delegation in Chengdu City resulted in eight deals.

"First, the plan of action fromMoUhealth," said Foreign Minister Retno L. Marsudi in an online press statement reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 27.

Foreign Minister Retno detailed eight agreements from the two countries produced, namely first, Action Plan or a health cooperation action plan, and the second agreement includes the protocol for opening the market access for agricultural products for porang flour commodities.

Furthermore, the third agreement includes the protocol for opening agricultural product market access for tabasheer powder commodities from Indonesia to China, and the fourth agreement includes research and development of plant breeding and marine cultivation industries.

Then the fifth agreement, namely Indonesia and China, agreed on cooperation in transferring knowledge and experience for the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), and the sixth agreement, the two countries agreed on a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the improvement of Indonesia-Chinese cooperation "Two Countries, Twin Parks".

The seventh agreement is a memorandum of understanding on economic and technical cooperation, and an eighth agreement, a memorandum of understanding on Mandarin education.

Foreign Minister Retno also conveyed that there were work results (deriverables) in the form of investment commitments that President Jokowi would submit directly.

"Besides that, there are divergibles in the form of investment commitments whose details will be submitted tomorrow, after a business meeting," said the Foreign Minister.

President Jokowi is scheduled to attend a number of business meetings with RRT investors and attend the opening of the FISU University Games on the second day of visit in Chengdu, China.
