JAKARTA - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto received the submission of the BPK Examination Result Report on the 2022 Ministry of Defense and TNI Financial Reports at the Ministry of Defense, Jakarta.

The examination of the 2022 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) was carried out based on Law Number 15 of 2004 concerning the Audit of State Financial Management and Responsibility and Law no. 15 of 2006 concerning the Financial Audit Agency.

"Hopefully this activity will be a real step for us to continue to uphold the principle of accountability of financial management, so that it can contribute to improving state financial governance," said Defense Minister Prabowo in a written statement, Wednesday, July 26.

Defense Minister Prabowo said that this year the Ministry of Defense and the TNI again won an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) on the 2022 Financial Statements.

This is the fifth time the Ministry of Defense has succeeded in denying this opinion. The Minister of Defense really appreciates the performance of the work with extraordinary results.

Therefore, Defense Minister Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the guidance provided by the BPK RI Team to the Ministry of Defense and the TNI, so that the results of this year's examination by the Ministry of Defense and the TNI again received the WTP opinion predicate.

"It should be remembered in accordance with the statement made by the President of the Republic of Indonesia when receiving LKPP 2022 on June 26, 2023, that WTP is not an achievement but an obligation for all government agencies that must be carried out with full responsibility," the message of the Minister of Defense.

"For this reason, I express my high appreciation to Kasatker and Kasubsatker as well as all parties who have contributed and worked hand in hand in the preparation and presentation of quality financial reports and complying with the relevant accounting principles in accordance with applicable regulations and regulations. This is an accountability for what the state has mandated to the government, "said the Minister of Defense.
