2 Commissioners Of PT SBMK Request Examination Of The Alleged Money Laundering Case Of Panji Gumilang Postponed To The Day After Tomorrow

Two Commissioners of PT Samudra Biru Mangun Kencana (SBMK) with the initials AFA and MYR did not fulfill the summons for examination at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit, today.

The two witnesses were originally asked for information regarding the alleged Money Laundering (TPPU) involving Panji Gumilang.

"Witnesses from PT Samudra Biru Mangun Kencana, the two witnesses were not present today," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Wednesday, July 26.

It did not explain in detail the reason they did not fulfill the summons for the examination. Ramadhan only conveyed that the two Commissioners of PT SBMK had sent a letter requesting a postponement of the examination through their attorneys.

In the letter, they asked the team of investigators to reschedule on Friday, July 28.

"The person concerned will attend and be willing to attend on Friday, July 28, 2023," said Ramadhan.

The two Commissioners of PT SBMK are part of 10 witnesses who will be questioned regarding the alleged money laundering offense Panji Gumilang.

Meanwhile, the other 8 witnesses are officials to members of the Indonesian Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YPI) which oversees the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.

Two of them are children of Panji Gumilang with the initials IP and AP. The two of them are the chairman and secretary of the Indonesian Islamic Boarding School Foundation.
