PSI Regrets That Many DKI BUMDs Are 'introduction' To Dividends

The PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD regrets that many DKI Jakarta regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) have not disbursed the distribution of profits or dividends to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

In fact, this regionally owned company was formed not only to meet the needs of the community, but indeed oriented to generate profits which then contributed to regional revenues.

Meanwhile, every year BUMD receives regional capital participation (PMD) allocated from the regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD).

This was conveyed by a member of the PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD in a plenary meeting with the agenda of general views of the factions against the Raperda regarding Accountability for the Implementation of the APBD for the 2022 Fiscal Year.

"Unfortunately, DKI Jakarta BUMDs, which should be profit-oriented, do not even reach the dividend target, even "buttul" dividends for the DKI Provincial Government," said Eneng at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, July 24.

Fraksi PSI meminta BUMD-BUMD untuk dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya untuk dapat melampaui target yang telah ditetapkan.

PSI labtas reminded BUMD and BP BUMD to improve BUMD governance because of the vulnerableness of the DKI Provincial Government's milk companies when they were hit by a crisis, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, which then affected the company's finances.

"In addition, integrity in DKI Jakarta BUMD needs to be re-established, given that there are BUMDs that have dealt with the KPK because of allegations of corruption or who have been proven to have committed criminal acts of corruption, even recently there was a BUMD who was found guilty by the KPPU for being involved in business conspiracy," he explained.

Responding to this, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono admitted that until now BUMD is still restoring the company's economy due to COVID-19.

"Realization of dividend revenue from BUMD in the 2022 fiscal year has increased in value compared to the 2021 fiscal year, but is still affected by BUMD's financial performance amid economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic," explained Heru.
