TIP Task Force Formed By National Police Chief To Arrest Total 844 Suspects

JAKARTA - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo's Criminal Action Task Force (TPPO) has arrested 844 suspects. The arrests were made from July 5 to July 23, 2023.

"The number of suspects in the TIP case is 844 people," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Monday, July 24.

During that period, the TIP Task Force at the Bareskrim level received 709 police reports (LP). Most of them have been investigated.

From the disclosure of the police report, Ramadhan said that thousands of victims who were deceived by the suspect's mode could be saved.

The mode used by the suspect is by luring potential victims to be employed abroad as housemaid. Of course with a large salary.

"Police reports as many as 709 reports. The number of victims of TIP is 2,169 people," said Ramadhan.

The TIP case that has been revealed is the Cambodian network. In which, 12 people were named as suspects, two of whom were police officers and Immigration.

This network sells the kidneys of Indonesian citizens (WNI) to Cambodia. Noted, 122 people became corban. The majority of them work as laborers to security.
