PAMEKASAN - A joint team from elements of the police, TNI and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of the Pamekasan Regency Government, East Java, Tuesday, evacuated the Darussalam Motorboat that sank on the coast of Branta, Pamekasan.

"Currently the ship has been successfully withdrawn to the beach and there have been no casualties in the disaster," said Head of the Water Police Unit (Satpolair) of the Pamekasan Police, Ipda Isrok Wahyudi, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 18.

He said the Darussalam Motorboat (KM) sank at Branta Pesisir Port, Tlanakan, Pamekasan, Monday (17/7) at around 00.30 WIB.

At that time, the ship was anchoring at the Port of Branta Pesisir Tlanakan Pamekasan after going to sea.

Suddenly the wind was blowing hard and the waves were big. The ship's anchor rope broke so that it hit another ship which was also leaning at the port.

As a result, the ship belonging to Warisin (50), a resident of Bandaran Hamlet, Branta Pesisir Village, Tlanakan Pamekasan District, sank within about 1,000 meters from Pesisir Branta Port, Pamekasan or shifted about 700 meters from the initial location of the anchor.

"The next day, starting this morning, we from the joint team then evacuated and now the ship's carcass has been successfully pulled to the beach," he said.

There were no casualties in the incident, but material losses were estimated at IDR 50 million.
