Sultan Supports DIY Prosecutor's Office Indiscriminately Investigating Village Land Corruption

YOGYAKARTA - Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X supports the DIY High Prosecutor's Office indiscriminately in investigating cases of alleged corruption in the use of village treasury lands in his area.

"Anyone who involves abusing the TKD (village treasury land) must be examined. Anyone," said Sultan HB X at the Kepatihan complex, Yogyakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 13.

This support was conveyed by the Sultan in response to the steps taken by the DIY High Prosecutor's Office, which on Wednesday (12/7) searched a number of rooms at the DIY Land and Spatial Planning Office (Dispertaru) including the Head of Dispertaru DIY Krido Suprayitno.

"Yes, there is no problem with permission from me. I asked for the complete data," said the Sultan.

According to Ngarsa Dalem, as Sultan HB X is called, these legal remedies need to be made to complete the DIY Prosecutor's data in investigating the alleged corruption case.

However, according to the Sultan, the Head of Dispertaru DIY Krido Suprayitno is not necessarily involved in the criminal case.

After the search, the Sultan emphasized that Krido's status as the top leader at the DIY Dispertaru has certainly not changed.

The King of the Yogyakarta Palace also admitted that he had not yet determined the possibility of deactivating officials within the Yogyakarta Regional Government.

"Not yet, we'll wait for mistakes or not, we have to look at it, don't think it can be submitted (tuned to my Administrative Court). What kind of data should be seen, what the results will be. TUN and so on must be avoided, must be careful," said Sultan.

When asked about the plan to summon the Head of Dispertaru DIY, the Sultan considered it unnecessary because he was still waiting for the DIY Prosecutor's Office report regarding the results of the search.

"What is the Prosecutor's Report, now that's the basis for when I meet Pak Krido," said Sultan.

As previously reported, on Wednesday (12/7) the DIY Prosecutor's Office Investigative Team searched the room of the Head of the DIY Dispertaru and the room of the Head of the Utilization, Problem Handling and Land Supervision Division of the DIY regarding the alleged corruption case in the use of village treasury land in Caturtunggal Village, Sleman Regency.

On the same day, the prosecutor's team also searched the private house of the Head of the DIY Dispertaru Krido Suprayitno.

The DIY Prosecutor's Office investigator team confiscated a number of items such as a CPU monitor, hard disk, flash disk, and a suitcase containing documents from the DIY Dispertaru Office.

Meanwhile, from Krido Suprayitno's private house, the investigative team confiscated 20 bundles of documents.

The Head of Legal Information for the DIY Prosecutor's Office, Herwatan, said that the search was a follow-up to the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the use of village treasury lands in Caturtunggal Village, Sleman, DIY with the defendant Robinson Saalino (President Director of PT Deztama Putri Sentosa) and the suspect Agus Santoso (Lurah Caturtunggal).

Evidence of clues in the form of statements from witnesses at the trial of the defendant Robinson Saalino at the Yogyakarta District Court also undermined the DIY Prosecutor's Office to search and confiscate.

In the case that cost the state finances Rp2.95 billion, Krido as the Head of the DIY Dispertaru has the status of a witness.
