The National Police Processes A Panca Creation Democratic Politician's Report That Feels A Defamation Because He Is Accused Of Being Involved In BTS Corruption

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri received a report by the Deputy for the Democratic Party Bakomstra (PD) Cipta Panca Laksana. The report is about allegations of defamation.

"On Monday, July 10, the report was received," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Wednesday, July 12.

In that report, the reported party is the owner of the Twitter account @ganieirfan. He was reported for saying that Panca had received a flow of funds for the 4G Kominfo BTS corruption case.

Regarding the development of the handling of the report, Ramadhan only said that Bareskrim was still processing it. However, it does not specify the steps that have been and will be carried out.

"Still in the process of the report," said Ramadhan.

The report is registered with the number LP/B/184/VII/2023/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI, dated July 9, 2023. The report relates to allegations of defamation or insults.

In that report, the owner of the Twitter account @ganieirfan allegedly violated Article 45 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph 3 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and/or Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code.
